1)Need for part-time employees
- Most of time retailer will want part time employee because they are less expensive than full time employee and retailer cannot promise all their employee that they will have a good prospect because there is simply a higher need for people at shop front and many Singaporean felt that working at shop front is a kind of low position because they have to handle many different kind of complaint be it reasonable or not.

2)Demand on expense control
- Retailer always has to control their expenses because the shop is where the profit is coming. If the expenses is too high, their profit margin will be affected and this will make it impossible for them to sustain themselves in the long run. Therefore, there is always a balance between the level of customer service and the amount of money the retailer is willing to spend.

3)Changing employee demographic
- There is a change of employee demographic because in Singapore more and more foreign talent is coming in therefore the retailer will have to choose very carefully and also train the foreign employee on the different culture that we have. Foreign talent tend to ask for a lesser pay and are more willing to take up some job that Singaporean do not want to do therefore foreign worker tend to be more attractive to hire as compared to a Singaporean.
