Merits of Customer Service Approaches
Armani Exchange, being a specialty store, focuses primarily on customer service. It trains its staff heavily on how to handle customers and how to enhance their customer service standards. The offer customized service to their customers. This means that they specially tailor their service to the customers. At the store front, they approach the customer and ask them if they need any help. If the customers want to be left alone, the staff will leave them to do their shopping but be on standby to assist them. This is very personalized service given to the customers. This however, is mainly done where possible. During sales period, they are usually too busy to offer a customized service and hence tend to offer standardized service. The inflow of customers is just so massive that it is virtually impossible for the staff to offer such personalized service. The staffs then do not focus on any one particular customer, but instead they go about their numerous jobs and only help out if the customers request for it. This is rather standardized service that occurs during sales and peak period.
