♥ 3 elements - Retail Format

It is the overall appearance and feel a shop gives to its customer to satisfy his/her needs including the store layout, looks, the range of products it offers and the approach it takes on its pricing.

Male’s apparel

- Store layout
There are a various factors to consider. For male apparel, one factor is to understand what type of apparel that is frequently bought. For example, if it is the pants, the shop should give more space to that area. It should also be spacious and comfortable for the customer to shop because no customer would want to shop in an uncomfortable place especially a specialty store.

- Range of products
For a specialty store, the first reason why a customer chooses to shop there must be its brand. The brand might have a web online or catalogue given out to the customer. Those items that are mentioned in the web or catalogue should be included in every store as it will most probably be the best sales product because of the marketing. They should also include some accessories like belts and ties to go with their main selling item.

- Looks
The design of the shop has to be in line with their target market, it should be very youthful if it wants to target teenager and serious if it is targeting at the working adult.

- Pricing
The specialty store has to look at its competitor's pricing and the position that it wants to take. It can be the same as their competitor because they might be competing with the competitor on other factors like marketing, merchandise or services. They can use promotion on top of their price to compete with their competitors or even collaborate with credit card companies to give discount.

- Location
The location of the store should be at the place where their target market frequently shop. If they are targeting working adults, they should set up their store at the shopping mall where traffic of working adults are high instead of shopping malls which is mostly frequently used by teenagers.
